Mark 16:15
15 And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature.
KJV
Are we there yet? Like an
excited child on a long trip with her parents, I couldn’t wait to get there. The fact that the Lord would trust me with
the souls of His people in Capetown, South Africa,
for this assignment was very humbling.
My first visit to this great
continent, Nairobi, Kenya, January 2005,
I thought, prepared me for this missionary endeavor.
Rev. Moroline Whittington,
City of Life Christian Church, St. Louis, Mo,
and myself were invited for a 3 night Crusade by Bishop Frederick Thys. His church, Apostolic Faith Embassy, one of the fastest
growing ministries in Capetown, has a genuine passion and hunger for the things of God and a tremendous desire to reach the
lost for the Kingdom .
The atmosphere was charged
with excitement and great anticipation for what the Lord was about to do. You could sense it as you entered the sanctuary.
1 Kings 8:10-11
10 And it came to pass, when the priests were come out of the holy place, that the cloud filled the house
of the LORD,
11 So that the priests could not stand to minister because of the cloud: for the glory of the LORD had
filled the house of the LORD.
KJV
As I stepped into the pulpit
on that first night, with the message already prepared, the Holy Ghost changed the order of service! Glory to God. The worship was phenomenal. It was a set-up from heaven.
I had a strong impression
to ask if anyone wanted the Baptism of the Holy Ghost, and if so to come right now. The altar was flooded with those who wanted
more of Him. When the smoke cleared on that first night, 53 souls Baptized in
the Holy Ghost, (Acts 2:4).
Words cannot express what
transpired on that night, and it was just beginning.
Thursday night, Rev. Whittington took the platform, and read from the word of
God.
Ex 14:13-14
13 And Moses said unto the people, Fear ye not, stand still, and see the salvation of the LORD, which he
will shew to you to day: for the Egyptians whom ye have seen to day, ye shall see them again no more for ever.
14 The LORD
shall fight for you, and ye shall hold your peace.
KJV
As the preached word went
forth, the Lord declared that “tonight is the night for miracles”. Once again the altar call is made, a mighty
anointing of deliverance swept through the room. Individuals bound by drugs, sickness, depression, female problems, and arthritis,
were delivered and set free. 19 souls baptized in the Holy Ghost, (Acts 2:4).
This dynamic Crusade ended
on Sunday with tag-team preaching by Rev. Moroline, Bishop Frederick Thys and myself, with the message taken from
Matt 16:15 15 He saith unto them, But whom say ye that I am?
Who is Jesus to you? Who
do you know Him to be? The Spirit of the Lord put His final seal of approval on this awesome fellowship.
There is a mighty revival taking place in Africa.
I give God the glory for
the opportunity to serve His people. I have a heart for Africa and am looking forward to returning
in September, 2008. Won’t you join me?
I would like to sincerely
thank "EVERYONE" for your prayers, donations, encouragement and whatever you did to make this trip a success for the Kingdom.
You will never know how much I appreciate those who have confidence in this ministry. It means so much. The Lord has called
me to the nations. I am so excited about it and very much willing to go.
