In January of this year (2005), a delegation from Indianapolis, IN, Baltimore, MD and St. Louis, MO, had the opportunity
to visit Apostle Derek Hubbard in Nairobi, Kenya. Over the past several years, Bro. Derek had been a missionary to Nairobi
as well as Durbin, South Africa. During this time several Pastors and their congregations were filed with the Holy Ghost (Acts
2:4) and baptised in Jesus Name. Four churches were founded and buildings erected as a result of Apostle Derek's labor.
While in Nairobi, during morning prayer God allowed me to speak Swahilii. The pastor thought that I knew the
language. Bro. Derek and I assured him that I did not and that I had never spoken it before. He told me that the Lord used
me to confirm some things to him in his native tongue. GOD IS AWESOME!!! I also had the honor to preach
and minister to souls at the Sunday morning service. The Lord filled 4 with the Holy Ghost (Acts 2:4) and 5 were baptised
in the river in Jesus Name.
In March 2005, Apostle Derek went home to be with the Lord. We give God glory for his life and the work he accomplished
for the Kingdom.
